FAQ

Okay, I have applied. Now what?

  1. We’ll collect applications for our playtests of Commandos: Origins until 1st May 2024.
  2. A few days before the first playtest, we’ll invite select players to join.
  3. If you are selected, you will receive an invitation e-mail from us asking you to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Please make sure you use the same e-mail address to sign the NDA as the one you’ve applied with. If you don’t sign the NDA or use a different e-mail address, you cannot join the playtest.
  4. One day before the first playtest starts, we will send you an e-mail with the Steam/Microsoft Store key to activate the game.
  5. With this key, you can download and play the game during the runtime of the playtest.
  6. If you encounter any bugs, have questions, or want to give us any other feedback during the playtests, head over to our Discord server where a dedicated channel will be available. You’ll receive the link to this channel together with the key via e-mail.
  7. Once you’ve seen everything, fill out the feedback survey (available in game and sent to you via e-mail).

How can I leave feedback?

There will be a dedicated survey asking for specific details available from the game’s main menu and sent to you via e-mail, and you can always head over to our Discord server where a dedicated channel will be available to you. You’ll receive the link to this channel via e-mail, together with your Steam/Microsoft Store key.

Why do you need my Discord username?

We will set up dedicated (locked) channels on the Kalypso Discord server for feedback during the playtests and need your username to give you access to those channels if you are selected to join a playtest. If you are not selected, we will not use your Discord username for any purpose and delete it together with your other personal information.

How do you process my personal data?

We will only use your personal information as needed to process the playtests, i.e., to select and contact participants via e-mail, for signing the NDA, to give you access to the feedback channels on our Discord server, and to collect your feedback. All personal information gathered through application and feedback forms associated with the playtests will be deleted when the evaluation of the playtests is finished unless legal reasons require keeping the data.
